What does a conveyancing solicitor do?

A conveyancing solicitor is a legal professional who specialises in the process of transferring the ownership of property from one person or entity to another. By assisting clients in navigating the complex legal aspects of property transactions, conveyancing solicitors play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and successful transfer of property ownership. A conveyancing solicitor's role may involve various tasks, including:

What is included in my quote?

Your quote will include the full amount that you will (likely) have to pay in order to complete the puchase of your house. This includes not just our fees, but also extra costs such as stamp duty and other taxes. Your quote will very clearly break down exactly how much is allocated for each element.

We think it is important that you know exactly how much you will need to spend before you make any decisions to proceed. This is why we include taxes and other expenses that are not set by us, so you are fully informed and can plan accordingly. Many people, particularly first time buyers, do not realise how much they will need to pay in unavoidable costs, and part of our service is helping you through that. We will collect money from you and then make the payments on your behalf, so you can be reassured that everything is taken care of.

Do I commit to anything when I request a quote?

No, there is no obligation to continue, even when you submit your quote application to us. If you decide later on that it's not right for you, then it's no problem. Of course, we think you'll be so happy with our quote that you'll be eager to take it while you can!

Do I have to pay anything yet?

No, our quote service is entirely free. You won't be expected to pay anything until we speak to you and you sign the contract for our services. You can back out at any point before that with no obligation to pay anything.
